Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have the ASROCK E350M1 main board with the E350D processor and integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics.

I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.10 but I am getting nowhere.

I choose to install Ubuntu of a live USB and then go through the process of partitioning the disk and I choose my location and keyboard layout. Then I get to the "who are you?" window where I am supposed to enter the username and password.

I do this and click continue. The installer then stops. The back and continue boxes are grayed out and the mouse displays a spinning "busy" cursor but nothing happens.

I have tried with the 12.10 amd64 and i386 images. Neither work.
