My friend bought an Acer Aspire One D270-1375 with 1GB RAM. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 in this setup: Netbook runs Windows 7 starter, Ubuntu was installed using download running Wubi to install under Windows. Initial Bootloader is Windows, asks which OS to start.
Before we added the RAM, if we picked "start Ubuntu" a grub screen shows with linux as the top choice and Windows at the bottom choice, as expected.
After Ram install, the same Windows bootloader shows. If Windows is chosen, Windows 7 starts normally. If Ubuntu is chosen, it boots to a black screen instead of the grub screen.
I am wondering if there is something I am overlooking. Like I say, it started normally before the additional RAM. I have been checking out Boot-Rescue, but I don't know what to do from the blank screen.
