I am having issues in my labs with ubuntu. I have ubuntu installed as a partition on my hard drive and run it as a seperate OS as opposed to using a Virtual Machine. I cannot use the wireless at all. I cannot detect any connections either. My WiFi runs fine on my Windows 7 OS. I have looked at similar questions on the site, and have tried:
sudo lshw -C network
And from this I can see that my wireless Broadcom adapter is not UNCLAIMED. I'm not a big ubuntu user so I really have no idea what the importance of UNCLAIMED is.Information on my system is as follows:
HP Dv6 1220sa Pavillion, Intel Dual Core 2.00GHz, Broadcom Wireless Adapter 802.11b/g, 4GB RAM.
Any help would be appreciated, as the lecturer and youtube have been quite unhelpful and having to use 2 seperate computers to access the net and use ubuntu is trying my patience.
