I am unable to open my Windows partition or a USB memory stick in 12.10. Everything was working fine until today - I updated Ubuntu but not sure if this is related to problem.
Partition appears in sidebar but if I click on it nothing opens - although the partition becomes mounted and mount returns:-
/dev/sda2 on /media/aubrey/38DE5D97DE5D4DEE type fuseblk (rw,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,default_permissions,blksize=4096)
Using terminal if I try and cd to it I get:-
bash: cd: /media/aubrey/38DE5D97DE5D4DEE: Permission denied
I can manually start nautilus from a terminal (using sudo) and this works - so the partition is accessible. If I startup with a live CD I can open and access the partition normally.
Any ideas what may have changed on my system and how I can fix it?
Many thanks for your help.
