I'm trying to install the drivers for d-link wireless n nano usb adapter on a very old laptop which doesn't support wireless connections. I downloaded the drivers from the producer site. I'm writing make in terminal and I get some errors

U_core.c:12324: error: ‘struct net_device’ has no member named ‘hard_start_xmit’
make[2]: *** [/home/pippix/Scaricati/rtl8192su_linux_2.4_2.6.0003.1019.2009/HAL/rtl8192u/r8192U_core.o] Errore 1
make[1]: *** [_module_/home/pippix/Scaricati/rtl8192su_linux_2.4_2.6.0003.1019.2009/HAL/rtl8192u] Errore 2
make[1]: uscita dalla directory «/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.32-29-generic»
make: *** [all] Errore 2

It's the second time in my life I use ubuntu terminal. Any Idea? I don't even know what these errors mean! Thanks!

EDIT: I'm running Ubuntu 10.04

EDIT2: I did sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic but I got a 404 Not Found for a couple of packages. I tried to run make again after this, but the same errors occurred. Here's the result of lsusb

You should expand edit your question to include your adapter name, the version of ubuntu you are running, and copy-n-paste of the output ot lsusb (after you type it at the command prompt)Did you do this first? sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic –  Scott Goodgame Apr 3 '13 at 19:58

Scott, thanks! No, I didn't do that first. Didn't know I had to do it :P I'll try it right now, then update the question! –  Pippix Apr 3 '13 at 21:13
