While at my desk, I use two external monitors with laptop lid shut. When mobile, I use my laptop display of course.

I like to have a bottom panel with window switcher on each monitor, so whenever I connect my laptop to dock, I have to make a new bottom panel and add whatever plugins/icons/things I want to it, but I have to do it every single time.

I do not want two panels on my laptop when not connected to external displays. I also don't want it to just autohide so it doesn't get in the way.

How can I configure this extra bottom panel to automatically add itself only when my external/second monitor is connected and remove itself when disconnected?
