I just bought a Kworld Analog TV syntonizer PCI card (one of those cheap ones) and it came with a remote control and a IR reciever.
It actually works pretty well since the volume button changes my system volume (I'm using Ubuntu 12.10).
I configured TV time so it doesn't have those nasty sound problems and I also installed LIRC to configure the remote to change channels and manage the TVTime software's volume instead of the system volume. Here is where i found the problem.
I made my .lircrc file and I also tried to find a pre-configured setup for my remote but it was unsuccessful. I have no idea how to configure LIRC to use my remote and I didn't find any solution online in this or other forums.
I mean I found lots of solutions but no one was for my remote and none of them worked. What I actually want to know is How do I know what the buttons of my remote are called so I can make my own .lircrc file? Have some of you configured the same remote with LIRC? can you share your .lircrc file?
