I am using Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit desktop on a Lenovo E430 ( ThinkPad Edge ) laptop, with XFCE desktop. But it freezes very often. Usually when playing videos, browsing the web and viewing pictures ( or all three simultaneously ) but not only then. The things I do on the laptop are not anywhere near the point, where it would have a reason to freeze.
When it freezes, it is dead. Clock stops, nothing reacts, nothing moves. Sound loops. Is there any way to fix this?
Also, please don't link me to the "What to do when ubuntu freezes" question, I don't really care what to do when it freezes ( only button press shutdown ), I am asking why does it freeze at all - stopping my downloads, discarding my work, closing my browser tabs etc...
Thanks very much. ( It is bugging me some time already )
