What daemon-like tool use to log battery status (to get real time of work on battery) in Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal?
I have tried to use
battery-stats-collector but it doesn't work:
/var/log/battery-stats is empty. Trying it from command line results in:
$ battery-stats-collector -1 -o - battery-stats-collector: Using libacpi. battery-stats-collector: Number of batteries: 2. battery-stats-collector: Reading info from battery 0 only. battery-stats-collector: init_acpi_acadapt() returned NOT_SUPPORTED.
Then I have tried to use
collectd, which has a battery plugin, but it uses
/proc/acpi/battery but it is not present in Ubuntu 12.10; it got replaced by
$ grep battery /var/log/syslog Mar 23 12:47:39 llaptok collectd: battery plugin: Failed to access `/proc/acpi/battery': No such file or directory
acpi -b and
acpitool -b work (after installing relevant packages), but these do not perform logging by itself:
$ acpi -b Battery 0: Discharging, 24%, 00:46:08 remaining $ acpitool -b Battery #1 : Discharging, 24.00%, 00:00:00
acpitool doesn't show estimated time of work on battery?)
