I'm currently logged in with gnome classic no effects. Whilst installing gnome shell I chose gdm as the manager. I'm not sure what has caused this, but the desktop background preferences have been severely restricted, and user accounts are completely missing from the system settings control panel.
Here is what my background settings looks like :
Clicking the background picture allows me to change select a different background, but previously I could also set the theme. I can only change the themes now using the gnome tweak tool.
Here is what my System Settings Panel looks like :
The user account button with the two light-grey persons icons is no longer there. When I check the software center, User Accounts appear to still be installed, but it is not present anymore from either the gnome menu or the control panel. I can access it via a Cardapio search, and I would assume if I logged in with unity, from the dash. Also, there appears to be two Online Accounts managements.
Could all these changes be caused by the gnome-shell installation?
