I'm having problems setting up a hotspot with an usb wifi adapter to share my internet connection.
I've tried the option in Settings>Network>'Use as Hotspot' and what happens is that the icon of the network manager applet hangs for a minute and then shows a "disconnected" message. Also updated everything to the last version.
By the way the adapter works without problems for wifi connection.
Environment: - Ubuntu 12.04 64 bits - USB Adapter: * TRENDnet 649UB * Chipset Realtek RTL8191SU (R2T1)
Is there a way to check what problem is the network manager having to start the hotspot? Could it be a driver problem, something I could install?
