This question already has an answer here:

First I've installed Windows 7 and then Linux Mint on another hard-drive. So when I started the PC I saw the Grub-Menu with the possibilities to start Mint or Win7.

Then I wanted to install Ubuntu too. So I installed Ubuntu on the same hard-drive as Windows. And here is the problem:

The Grub-Menu was the same. I could choose between Windows and Mint. But when I took Windows, there was a secound Grub-Menu, where I could choose between Ubuntu and Windows. And when I took Windows again, I got the error message

error: no such partition

I thought that it would help and deleted ubuntu (with gparted on Mint) again. But the error message, when I choose Windows in the Grub-Menu is still the same... :(

The Terminal command sudo grub-update didn't change anything.

What about the bootinfoscript results. There is only one linux partition, so unless you had one of either mint4win or wubi then part of the picture is missing. Thanks –  bcbc Mar 19 '13 at 2:32

Hi you should try to run sudo update-grub in Linux Mint. Außerdem könntest du auch mal auf ubuntuusers.de vorbeischauen ;)
