I'm having a problem with using my mobile phone as a modem. Sometimes it works and sometimes not.

It seems to depend on whether or not I'm given two options to click on in the network menu in the top right of my screen. If the network I want to connect to is only listed once, it doesn't work. I have no idea why it sometimes lists it twice and sometimes only once. Most of the time it is only there once and doesn't work.

At the moment I'm using a dongle, but I'd like to have it set up so that it is always through the phone before my prepaid month runs out on the dongle! I think I'm using Ubuntu 12.10, and it is a Sony Ericsson C510 wired connection that I'd like to be using for the Internet.
