I'm using the latest stable kernel (3.8.3) from kernel ppa but my linux-image-generic package seems to be outdated (3.5.x) . I'm using quantal. noticed a linux-image-generic version 3.8.0 in raring repository, can I upgrade using this package or there is any other way to do it

thanks for the help, but I was looking for the linux-image-generic package which doesn't seem to be the part of kernel-ppa –  Anam Ahmed Mar 16 '13 at 18:02
