Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

As you can see, I tried to install ATI Radeon X1550 driver with Stephen Myall´s instruction (What is the correct way to install ATI Catalyst Video Drivers (fglrx)?) but can´t.

Generating package : Ubuntu/precise
Error : Distro Version entered incorrectly or not supported, use --listpkg to identify valid distro versions
Error : Distro Version entered incorrectly or not supported, use --listpkg to identify valid distro versions
Removing temporary directory : fglrs-install.QgLQ1s

Anyone can help me ?

And that will be so helpful if someone share me GUIDE and Basic Instructions about Ubuntu ?

Please be sure to correctly enter this line sudo sh amd-driver-installer-*.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/precise. Ubuntu/precise is important & Case may be important. Just copy and paste it and press enter to execute –  Web-E Mar 12 '13 at 12:10
