I'm having an issue in which I have installed a new battery that will not charge to it's full capacity. I'm looking for a manner to change some setting in which Ubuntu will allow a full charge. After searching through battery problems for a number of hours I am beginning to have a feeling that this has to do with a design in Ubuntu that may be improved upon and is not an issue with Batteries.

The Battery is designed for over 6 hours of battery life but is only supplying 2.5 hours. Is there some sort of fix, any sort of fix, that I may use?
