I have just finished installing Ubuntu 12.10 alongside Windows 8 from a dvd. After turning off secure boot, I was initially able to load ubuntu from the Grub 2 menu just fine. After restarting the computer, when i choose Ubuntu from the grub menu the screen goes purple for about 20-30 seconds then returns me to the grub menu. Furthermore, when I try to load Windows 8 from the grub menu, I get the following two errors. can't find command 'drivemap' and invalid EFI file path. I have read from other posts that this one is a fairly easy fix, but I am not sure how to find the file that I need to alter. The only OS i can currently load is Windows 8, and that only works if I turn on secure boot and force it to run windows 8 that way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
