After I opened multiple terminals in Ubuntu 12.04, some of them disappeared suddenly and only one terminal was kept. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

How many? What did you do in them? How did you open them? Can you replicate this? –  FEichinger Mar 11 '13 at 3:26

Which version of Ubuntu you are using? And I think it will be just disappeared and not closed. Because it happened for me with other windows opened. Using alt+tab you can view all terminals opened but it will reappear only when you click on it. –  learner Mar 11 '13 at 3:26

I use 12.04, I did not do anything in them. When I opened it and then inputed some comands, then opened a new terminal, then after a while, the old terminal disappeared. I can replicate it now. When you use alt+tab, you can only see one terminal, but when you stop the focus on the terminal for a while when you use alt+tab, then you can see all of the disappeared terminal. They were not no closed actually, but I think it's not convinent for me. –  ericshen Mar 11 '13 at 6:09
