Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free.

I'm running a fullscreen program and i'm using pkill to close it by a keyboard shortcut. Killing the program works but my kill script also contains some other code. The rest of the script isn't being executed. Seems like it doesn't know to continue in the terminal or something.

Any ideas?
