My Ubuntu won't update at all. First, I click "update now" and it starts scanning for files that can be updated and then it says that it can only do a partial upgrade. I click continue and after about 30 minutes it says that it can't update at all. I'm not much of a computer guy and don't know why it's doing this.

Could you open a terminal (press ctrl+alt+T) and then running this command: sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade? If you could copy and paste the output into your original question (press ctrl+shift+C to copy after selecting the text with your cursor) we might be able to better understand what is going on. –  Vreality Mar 7 '13 at 22:19
