I installed Ubuntu 12.04.2 64-bit on my laptop (Asus 1201n 2.5 years old), and after a normal installation I have no mouse pointer.
It doesn't recognise my network cable either, the installation did (downloaded updates).

I have a mouse pointer when I log in but then when everything is loaded it disappears.

What should I do?

Uh, what mouse do you have? Graphics card? Network card? We need some more info :P – Seth Feb 28 at 18:37
it's a laptop. it doesn't have a mouse and it's not a problem with the mouse since it worked before I installed in the live-usb – Alvar Feb 28 at 19:03
