I want to install Ubuntu 12.10 on my Asus G73JW. It has an SSD with Windows 8. After a few scary installs in the past, I was hoping I could check in here and see if anyone knows of any potential problems that I should know about before I go ahead with the install?

@vasa1 - the reason I re-ask is because I had a few issues in the past trying to get 12.04 running on the normal HDD on this specific laptop, but didn't see anything specific or new info about Ubuntu on it now..., especially not with an SSD – CodyLoco Feb 27 at 5:55
Well SSD or not SSD, it doesn't make a difference. The issue will be for example not recognizing windows after Ubuntu installation. this can be solved by Boot-Repair. but of the top of my head, Ubuntu will wear off your SSD if you don't tweak some stuff. – Soroosh129 Feb 27 at 6:05
