As the title states, I'm unable to mount my Windows 8 drive using a LiveUSB. As far as I know, the computer was shut down normally, so it's possible that it's not because of hibernation. I've heard some theories that it might be the new
fast boot(?) feature. However I've yet to see a conclusion on it. Trust me when I say that I've looked (5+ hours and counting) everywhere for an answer. Other users that have similar (not exact) issues received solutions that were not helpful to me. I'm locked out of my own system. I am in extreme desperation for some important files before I go ahead with a format and re-install.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm able to somewhat mount it: as in, mounting
/dev/sda1/ to a mounting point gives just two folders named
System Volume Information and
recovery. I guess you could say it's "mounted," but definitely not like I need it.
