on an Asus X202E, i've been using with windows8 for some time and this never happened. After using ubuntu, on random occasions (twice so far) when the machine is on for too long, it develop a ghost click on the middle of the left edge of the screen. one inch from the border.
the mouse cursor keeps jiggling on that spot (about 5px wide, woobling very fast). and it does not go away until a full power off-power on. a reboot will keep the issue.
oddly, a reboot into windows will move the issue to windows as well. so probably something that is set on the device and only cleared on power off. (or a full bios something? i'm not really well versed on hardware drivers and inner workings. sorry). on windows 8 i can see the exact same ghost touch jigglying on the very same spot (but instead of the mouse pointer it's a round touch indicator).
i was suspecting it was a hardware failure when it first occured, and was ready to return the machine. but then it happened again.
Both times it happened after a failure to suspend.
any idea how i debug this?
