Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

When using applications with multiple windows which all need to be visible at the same time, switching visible applications is a bit annoying right now, because only one window is shown when clicking on the starter icon (which is reasonable in a lot of cases, so I don't want to change that) and the second click scales the application so I can pick one window to be shown (I'd like to change this action).

For example when using Skype, I'd like to see both the current chats and the contact list. To do that now, I have to click on the starter twice and then pick the contact list.

If it isn't possible to configure the action on the second starter click, maybe there's a way to set a keyboard shortcut to show all windows of the current application?
