I recently added Ubuntu 12.10 to my laptop as a dual boot with Windows 7. Both boot up and Ubuntu works fine. The Windows side freezes up after about a minute or so. I have tried the Windows repair disk that I created but it doesn't detect any problems. And for some reason there is no restore point date prior to the Ubuntu install (even though I know I saved several prior to that).
So I guess it's not a "boot" problem per se but maybe a partition one? I have been researching how to find and/or fix a partition size problem but all of the answers are extremely technical. I understand much of it but need the steps on how to actually do things like "get into GRUB" or "use Gparted" from the Ubuntu side.
I am running Intel® Core™ i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz × 4, 5.9 GiB, 32-bit, with Ubuntu using 272 GB on a Sony VAIO. Windows 7 came with the laptop from the manufacturer I do not have an install disc.
