I found this using htop: enter image description here

It says CPU TIME: 8hr38min+ (it's running with a low priority)

I'm running

back-end 2:0.26.0+fixes.20130202.fd43ad1-0ubuntu0mythbuntu1
on x86_64 processor.

UPDATE¹: added mythpreviewgen.log

UPDATE²: Finally exited after 11+ hours of CPU time.
