I have a xonar dx sound card on my kubuntu 12.04 x64. In windows 7 I use the software from here http://brainbit.wordpress.com/category/uni-xonar/ to edit sound quality and other things like dolby pro logic II, xear 3d, virtual 7.1 etc... I would like to have something like that in ubuntu because i'm not sure I'm having the best sound quality. For example in windows 7 I changed Sample Rate at 48 KHz but I know that it 44100 by default and it is resampled automatically, for my 2.1 audio system, I selected Audio Channel input to 2 and Analog Out to 2, I set the Windows audio playback to 24 bit to improve audio quality etc...
Is it possible to see and maybe change these settings in ubuntu? Maybe there is a software like that?
I also have this audio system: EMPIRE KS3000D http://www.empiremedia.it/site/prodotto.asp?idprodotto=300&tit=KS-3000D&lingua=2 and I'm not sure I have subwoofer on. In pulse audio do I have to use duplex stereo analog, surround 4.1 output + stereo input or something else?
