Wubi fails to run for me (see this unresolved question)

I have found out that I get the first wubi installation screen if I run pyrun main.pyo from the %TEMP%\pyl**.tmp directory.

If I proceed in this way what are the chances that the installation carries through OK? Or is there a point half way through the installation where it all goes horribly wrong?

That could work. It's similar to the instructions for running the non-byte compiled version here (except you're using the .pyo instead): bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-installer/wubi/trunk/view/head:/… –  bcbc Feb 16 '13 at 17:15
