I am running my ubuntu (12.04.2 LTS) file server headless and use tight VNC to connect to it from my windows 7 machines. Is there any way I can have the resolution always at 1920x1080 by default? It seems unless I have such a monitor attached at the time of establishing the connection I'm stuck at quite a low "default resolution".

On ubuntu I'm using x11vnc to host the VNC sessions.

Thank you.
