I'm testing ascript out on a default install of 12.10 with
ubuntu-restricted-extras installed inside VirtualBox.
There are two files, audio.wav and image.jpg.
The command is:
ffmpeg -i image.jpg -i audio.wav -preset slow -crf 18 -acodec mp2 -vcodec mpeg4 -r 30000/1001 $tmpfile.avi
VLC plays the output correctly but YouTube says it can not process the video and, therefor, won't upload it.
This is the output of
ubuntu@ubuntu-VirtualBox:~/youtube$ ffprobe video.avi avprobe version 0.8.5-6:0.8.5-0ubuntu0.12.10.1, Copyright (c) 2007-2012 the Libav developers built on Jan 24 2013 14:52:53 with gcc 4.7.2 [avi @ 0x83bf880] non-interleaved AVI [avi @ 0x83bf880] max_analyze_duration reached Input #0, avi, from 'denver.knife.laws.avi': Metadata: encoder : Lavf53.21.1 Duration: 00:05:33.00, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 131 kb/s Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg4 (Simple Profile), yuv420p, 640x480 [PAR 1:1 DAR 4:3], 29.97 tbr, 29.97 tbn, 30k tbc Stream #0.1: Audio: mp2, 16000 Hz, mono, s16, 128 kb/s
I've tried encoding with libx246 (or was it 264?) and the audio worked but the video did not. It also failed to upload to YouTube.
Any help? I believe I'm making this harder than it is supposed to be.
