Disclaimer: this is not just me saying "This is waay too hard, duh!" I am asking out of interest.

So, why is an important piece of software like the Android SDK missing from all the repositories and not accessible (anymore) from any ppa? Is it maybe due to licensing issues?

ppa:upubuntu-com/sdk works in 12.10(well you need to use precise and not quantal as a distribution but it should work(?) – Rinzwind Feb 13 at 21:49
