I've installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my Macbook Pro 4,1, following these steps (MacBookPro_Penryn:Installing the Broadcom Wireless Driver on help.ubuntu.com) to get the wifi working, but while the System Prefpanel says it's already working, the wifi network doesn't appear on the Networks panel. I don't know what else to do.

Per user nbm: Can you post the results of iwconfig and sudo lshw -C network? Without personal info if you prefer. –  Seth Feb 14 '13 at 3:52
