I am trying to get ubuntu 12.04 to run on the MCP55 without any success.
I found a solution (asus-p5n32-e-sli-plus-with-linux on overclock.net) that is supposed to work but not on 12.04.
What i did was this:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/options.config
and then pasted the lines
#nVIDIA Corporation MCP55 Ethernet options forcedeth msi=0 msix=0
saved and then
sudo update-initramfs -u
But after the reboot there was no difference. Has there come up some new solution that is simple or should I install an old Ubuntu and see if it works? Or maybe a new biosflash?
