I have a problem with ibus. When i will set the input language i cannot select portuguese. What packages i have to install for add this language?

I have to use ibus due a issue with qt5 who don't let me entry with accents.

Sorry for the terrible English I have.

Gnome is trying it best to make IBus unusable which may result in having a hard time selecting the input method you need (although I'm not sure if you are using the problematic 1.5 version). Qt5 has a bug (fixed in master) that you may have problem using inputmethod if you are using gtk style. P.S. fcitx support both selecting languages and qt5, you may want to give it a try. –  yuyichao Feb 12 '13 at 6:44

I try installing fcitx, but i cant select portuguese. So i decided to wait for next releases of Qt 5 who solve the issue. Thanks for the help. –  michael Feb 14 '13 at 16:24

No, what happens is this: recently left the stable release of version 5 qt framework. I downloaded and started testing, I noticed that only in linux when I need to type accented characters like "ã" what is typed is "~ a" (the accent goes separate letter). At the project site qt noticed that this problem has already been reported, and even is to be fixed in later versions. –  michael Feb 16 '13 at 15:46
