My PC Specs:

  • Pentium 4 @ 2GHz
  • Asus P4S8X-X
  • 1 GB RAM
  • ATI RADEON 9200 SE 128 MB

I understand this machine is ancient, but from what I could understand it should work with Ubuntu, or did I get something wrong.

It just shows up a background after selecting Try Ubuntu.

Can you open up a terminal? If so, what is the output of the following: /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p – David Ashford Feb 11 at 13:21

Just fyi, I would recommend switching to a more light weight desktop environment, such as XFCE – p00c Feb 11 at 13:22
