I have Creative X-Fi sound card and I've done some mods on it. (Changing caps, OpAmps etc.) Yesterday, I changed crystal resonator on the sound card with a crystal oscillator. After this change, my Ubuntu 12.10 unable to start and stuck in hardware stages on boot. I also try to start my computer from a live CD but the result is same.
I think new clock works well, I tried it on Windows and there is no problem. With the change, I start to use an external 5V power supplier for clock and the power leg on the sound board is empty.
While booting, before stuck, Ubuntu says something like, You should install ACPI drivers instead of native drivers but can't pass this stage.
Do you have any suggestion?
