Has anybody experienced to download the operating system UBUNTU on the above mentioned Lenovo notebook model? I was not successful in doing it and was told, that on this notebook only a new version of UBUNTU actually in development would run. Is there a driver working on the above mentioned Lenovo Ideapad for the operating system UBUNTU available that works? Where can I download it? Many Thanks!

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! What kind of component needs a driver do you think? Network, webcam, graphics card ...? Please provide relevant and specific hardware information about that component that isn't working. (e.g. output of lspci -nn or lsusb run from a terminal) – gertvdijk Feb 9 at 16:35
