I have a slight problem. My internet is working fine via WiFi, however the moment I plug in my ethernet cable to my ethernet NIC the internet stops working.
The WiFi adapter is set to DHCP and the ethernet card is set manually with the following config:
IP Address: 192.168.1.99 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Route: 192.168.1.1 DNS: EMPTY
It is a cross-over cable connecting directly to my other PC on the same net (192.168.1.0). I actually don't really need a default route, however Ubuntu won't let me save the config unless I specify one. This is different in Windows, where you can set the default route as blank when you are directly connecting two computers.
