I have placed Ubuntu 12.10 on a usb stick using Universal-USB-Installer-188.8.131.52. Using the pen to boot an old computer results on Ubuntu hanging with those last lines:
[ 63.632550] init: failsafe-x main process (4005) terminated with status 1 [101.148505] marking TSC unstable due to cpufreq changes [101.148595] switching to clocksource acpi_pm
I have not used special options during Ubuntu load (the ones on F6)
Windows XP runs fine on the same computer.
Here the hardware list: CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3400+ MB - Asus K8N-E-Deluxe
I have no clue on how to make Ubuntu work on this computer. Does anyone has a clue on what to do? If you need more details you can ask and I will provide them (if you tell me how to grab them) Thanks a lot for any help!
