I've been unable to access a wireless internet connection for a day now, using 12.04 on an Asus 1225-C.

Although this computer had other issues regarding additional drivers, I hadn't experienced, or seen reports of issues with wireless. Ethernet is working fine.

Additional drivers produces nothing, although I tried the Broadcom drivers available in the Software Centre and also the instructions on howopensource.

The output of lspci is as follows:

Are you sure you've copied all the lspci output? There aren't any wireless devices listed there. –  mikewhatever Feb 7 '13 at 17:23

I know there is no wireless device listed, but that is the entire output of lspci. –  Damian O'Loan Feb 7 '13 at 23:13

Also no output from sudo pccardctl ident –  Damian O'Loan Feb 7 '13 at 23:22

I now have an unreliable connection, having installed wicd. Without it, the wifi card remains unrecognised. I notice several related problems on launchpad, where I also logged a question and the lengthy output of the troubleshooting commands. If there's any more information I could provide, I'd be more than happy to do so. –  Damian O'Loan Feb 11 '13 at 5:33
