I am using Zenoss to monitor some Ubuntu VMs I have. I want to configure Zenoss so when I receive a notification it runs a command. How do you run a command as a user in Ubuntu silently i.e. I want the command to run silently as user root. Is this possible? I can work out the Zenoss stuff myself.
