How can I set the content folder when using Amazon Kindle 1.10.5 via Wine 1.4 in Ubuntu 12.04?

In Kindle, if I go to Tools > Options > Content, click the "Change Folder" button, enter the correct path, and click "Use Selected Folder," I encounter the following problem: When I am returned to the Content options popup page, the "Save" button is grayed out, and if I press "Cancel" or just close the popup, it reverts to the original setting.

The Kindle preferences files appear to be stored in "~/.wine/drive_c/users/username/Local Settings/Application Data/Amazon/Kindle". Grepping in these files produces nothing, however, so I haven't been able to figure out where the setting is stored or try to change it manually.

Any ideas?
