I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 x64 in openvz, but the X11 forwarding doesn't seem to work. I have installed xauth, but $XAUTHORITY is not set, nor is there a ~/.Xauthority file. And I can't open GUI applications with shh -X or ssh -Y. I have searched Google for hours on similar problems, and found this one most related:
~/.Xauthority required but missing
But I am not running as root, so the answer doesn't directly apply. Does anyone has any clues?
