I have installed hplip from Ubuntu software center. It worked fine. But after restarting my computer printer not working and the print goes to hold state. Also the printer showing communication error. I just UN-install and INSTALLED the hplip from Ubuntu software center. It worked fine and on my another restart same problem comes. Please help me to solve this.

How is the printer connected to the computer? Network, USB, or what? And is there only one computer that you've set up to use that printer? And which version of Ubuntu are you using? – Kelley Feb 1 at 5:23
i am using USB connection in my single pc.My Ubentu vertion is 12.0.4 – Sreekanthss Feb 1 at 8:31
If you're still having the problem, there's a new HPLIP available; it might be worth installing it following the instructions here: liberiangeek.net/2013/02/… – Kelley Feb 27 at 3:22
And in those instructions, please not that there is a typo in the second step: the command "sh hplip-3.13.2 run" should actually be "sh hplip-3.13.2.run" (they left out the period before the "run"). – Kelley Feb 27 at 3:24
