Recently I uploaded a audiobook in which only 5 of the 20 chapters would work. Every chapter has a -rw-r-r code. In a terminal, it acknowledges I am the owner but it refuses to allow me to delete the files. I have tried everything I can but to no avail. The files exist on my mp3 player and I am just trying to take them off. I am new to linux and have spent hours going through all the information from people who know and it still cannot do what i need it to do. Please Help.

Did you try deleting them from the terminal with sudo? – green7 Jan 31 at 16:28

Please include the output of these commands, after changing directory to the MP3 player's mount point: ls -ld . ; ls -l ; mount – Flimm Jan 31 at 17:43
