Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have an Edimax 7811Un wireless adapter that isn't working, I've downloaded the drivers via Windows but can't figure out how to install them (just learning Linux) to connect Ubuntu to the internet to fix the Grub issue that's causing it to not boot into Ubuntu without booting and 'trying' Ubuntu out via the USB stick I made to install Ubuntu 12.10.

It's a Windows 7 OS with 8GB RAM and an Intel i5 2500K CPU. If any more info is required let me know, I'd like to come up with a solution for this. Thanks much!

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! On this Q&A site we ask one question per post. Your post appears to be about both a wireless LAN issue as well as a question about partitioning and storage. My suggestions: 1) remove the partitioning part and ask that in another question, 2) include details about your current attempt for your wireless card: what how-to are you using, what driver did you download, etc. 3) include more hardware information, such as the output of lsusb from a terminal. – gertvdijk Jan 30 at 22:01
