I installed Ubuntu on my Windows 8 HP Pavillion laptop using the ISO file, I've created a disc image and was able to install Ubuntu. After restart I don't see an option to go to Ubuntu, I've tried msconfig boot even there I see only Win8.

Is my Ubuntu installed? How can I verify if Ubuntu is installed?

Use the Parallels workstation to do the install. It works out pretty easy. – Ignazio Apr 22 at 12:33
