i'm trying to install Ubuntu 12.10 on my ThinkPad T43 but every time I get stuck at the point after choosing the Language checking the three points (Internet connection, Power Connection and Free Space) if I click the next button the installer stops. This happens with a CD and with my two USB Sticks.

I think the next step would be the partition management if i run fdisk -l the command takes up to 5 minutes to show a result.

Any other ideas? solutions?

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! Can you elaborate a bit more on "the installer stops"? What exactly happens? Do you get an error message for example? Have you tried verifying the image you downloaded? – gertvdijk Jan 29 at 20:17
