I have an Acer Aspire 8930g, I have 32bit Ubuntu and have a fingerprint scanner.

Does anyone know how to set up the scanner so I can scan my finger when it asks for password input, either when I sudo and when I log in?

What type of fingerprint reader is it? Include in your question the relevant line from the output of lsusb. E.g., mine is Bus 001 Device 003: ID 147e:2016 Upek Biometric Touchchip/Touchstrip Fingerprint Sensor. –  jdthood Jan 29 '13 at 18:39
There's a chance that this is a dupe of askubuntu.com/questions/15029/… or some other question. –  jdthood Jan 29 '13 at 18:39
